This was my first trip together with my family to Hong Kong and I have to say it’s quite an amazing city. Crowded and intense, yet so orderly. Their public transportation system is so organized, that it’s no problem at all zipping from Tsim Sha Tsui to Causeway Bay or anywhere else in the city. I’m glad that we purchased their Octopus card. Even the novice traveler should have no problem getting around. Yeah! There were signs everywhere! Mind the gap please.
Our hotel is located at Tsuen Wan. Doesn’t ring a bell? I won’t blame you. Tsuen Wan is part of the New Territories, and it is at the extreme east of Hong Kong mainland, facing Lantau Island (where Disneyland and the airport are located at) and it’s far away in the town area (such as Tsim Sha Tsui and Mongkok). Actually, it’s not that far away since our hotel is located near the MTR station (their MRT), maybe it’s just 15 minutes away from the Central area.
I would not go to all the “touristy” details because that would be boring and I know most of you are not interested reading long post. All I know is I enjoyed taking them with me since I could hardly remember the last time we bond as family.
