A combination of old colonial structures and high-rise modern casinos, Macau is just a vibrant city of mixed cultures. Their tourism influx is based largely on gambling but we are not gamblers! (I only play casino war which is a no-brainer game)
Anyway, it was a quick jaunt from Hong Kong which is an hour ferry ride. We walked off through the Fisherman’s Warf, Senado Square, visit the ruins of St. Paul and we ended up hopping in some hotel casinos. (My mom loves the Venetian!)
Time went by too fast, and we just barely skimmed the surface of some of the city’s best site. It was a very short journey since we’re heading back to Hong Kong that night. Tiring but so worth the visit.
Oh don’t forget about the food! It’s like overdose of free snacks from dried meat to egg tarts!
