Durango, Colorado

On our way to Telluride, we drove past the charming western town of Durango. Something about the place was drawing us in that we instantly decided to stay there overnight before heading to our final destination for the roadtrip.

We stayed in Strater Hotel, a historic Victorian-inspired old hotel right in the heart of downtown Durango. The hotel itself is a tourist attraction, and definitely leaves an impression on you because of its vintage interiors and sorta creepy wallpaper that feels like something straight out of an old horror movie… The Shining anyone? Overlook Hotel? Hahaha!

We spent the day walking around the town’s main street and surrounding areas lined with shops, galleries, and restaurants. I fell in love with this town! It has an old west charm and the locals were extremely friendly. One good find in Durango was a music shop that sold Vinyl Records! Nino was bugging me to look for a record store in Denver because he recently bought a new turntable so we were lucky we found one in this small town.

P.S. Please excuse the overload of self-pics. 😛
